Math/s/log

About Math/s/log

Math/s/log was an idea spawned from my minimal experience in the mathematical community and general life/pub banter with friends and acquaintances. Although people like to think they’re original, 9 out of 10 people say to me “I was never good at mathematics at school” or “Mathematics is hard” or “I guess you just have the brain for that sort of thing”.

After explaining my work to 1) An engineer, 2) An archaeologist, and 3) A hairdresser, I came to the conclusion that real mathematics really isn’t like it was at school, it’s not that hard, you don’t have to have “that sort of brain” to do it. As long as you approach it in the right way, it all makes sense.

That’s what I’m hoping to turn this blog into, the right approach for people who are interested in learning more about mathematics, but never had the chance to see further than working out the equation of a straight line. I’m not going to be able to provide answers to your problems for school or college, or pass your exams for you but I can provide the means to see a different side to mathematics.
